Entrusted with a proud legacy of exceptionalism, the Annese family and a staff of highly skilled craftsmen continue to exceed the expectations of the most discerning materials engineers worldwide. It is a sense of responsibility, both to the family name and to the needs of their trusting customers, that holds Bomas true to its enduring mission.
New levels of enthusiasm and energy came to Bomas in 1979 when Joe Annese joined his father in an already thriving business. Joe quickly developed his own reputation for knowledge of materials and impressive machining skills. He also understood the growing role of technology in all aspects of the manufacturing industry and Bomas took its appropriate place on the cutting edge of computer advancements.
When you communicate with Bomas, you communicate directly with Joe Annese and he oversees every job with hands-on involvement. That level of personal attention is unusual in this industry.
“It isn’t every company that goes to the lengths of personal caring (for us and our materials) that I find so reassuring with Bomas.”
Graduate Assistant, West Coast R&D University
Today, both Joe and his wife Theresa play a vital role in day-to-day operations and long term planning as the company with headquarters in Somerville, Massachusetts extends its reach to all corners of the nation, and indeed areas throughout the world.
A Salute to Our Founder
Pat Annese founded Bomas Machine Specialties, Inc. in 1959 and he was quickly recognized as a pioneer in the use of diamond tooling and an innovator in conformal grinding and machining of ceramics. His unique talents, coupled with his ‘old-fashioned’ approach to customer service, raised Bomas to immediate national prominence. It is a fitting tribute, that 52 years later Bomas remains the standard by which an industry of exacting measurements, measures excellence.
